Tip: photos with natural daylight work best. A phone snap of the room you want to decorate, from across the room, is plenty — professional photography not required.

How it works

1. The tool reads your photo. A color quantizer runs in your browser, finds the 5-6 most dominant colors in the image, and skips near-whites and near-blacks so a sunny window or a black TV doesn't drown out the actual room.

2. It classifies the room. Warm-toned vs. cool-toned vs. neutral. Light vs. medium-bright vs. moody. Vivid vs. softly saturated vs. restrained. Three axes, roughly 27 possible room types.

3. It picks the Christmas palette that complements. Six palette templates: classic traditional, Scandinavian hygge, modern minimalist, Craftsman / earth tones, modern farmhouse, and jewel-tone glam. Each is mapped to the room characters it complements best, and each comes with 5 specific decorating recommendations tied to a full house-style guide.

Your photo never leaves your browser. Color extraction is fully client-side. No upload to a server, no AI service involved, no record kept. You can close this tab and the photo is gone.
