The three looks

The Griswold
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)Every edge, every gutter, every shrub, and the roof itself. Plastic Santa up top, blow-molds on the lawn. Visible from the next county.
The McCallister
Home Alone (1990)The grand brick colonial look: fresh garland over the door, a wreath with a red bow in every window, a candle glowing in each one. Classic and generous.
Whoville
How the Grinch Stole ChristmasCandy colors, curly shapes, lights spiraled around everything, nothing quite straight. Whimsical, a little absurd, impossible to ignore.

The renders are AI, from the same model as our decor visualizer. They keep your house and add the decorations, and occasionally invent a window. If you want to know what the Griswold version would do to your electric bill, we ran the numbers.

Questions

How does the Christmas movie house tool work?

Upload a straight-on photo of the front of your house, pick a movie look, and the same AI model behind our decor visualizer decorates your actual house in that style in about a minute. You get a share link and a card image, and you can try the other looks on the same photo.

Which movie looks can I choose?

Three: the Griswold, every edge and the roof itself covered in multicolored lights from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation; the McCallister, the garland and red-bowed wreaths of the Home Alone house; and Whoville, the candy-colored, spiraling, slightly crooked look of the Grinch's neighbors.

Is it free?

Yes. We ask for an email so we can send you the link. Each look is a real AI render, so there is a daily limit across the site; if you hit it, try again tomorrow.

Do you keep my photo?

No. Your photo is sent to the AI to make the render and is not stored by us. The decorated images are kept for 30 days so your share link works, then they are deleted.

Is this connected to the movies?

No. The looks are our own descriptions of how those houses are decorated. The tool is not affiliated with or endorsed by the films or their studios, and it never adds characters, only decorations.
